The director of communications and brand management is responsible for building and implementing comprehensive internal and external communications programs. Ideal candidates will have a blend of experience leading communications for both corporate and nonprofits/associations brands.
Connie Maxwell is the Baptist Children's Home of South Carolina, and serves children and families from across South Carolina by providing a home away from home to children in need. Founded in 1892 in Greenwood, SC, Connie Maxwell now operates six facilities across the state. In addition to residential child care, Connie Maxwell has a family care program and a foster care program.
Lead the development and execution of public relations strategies across a broad range of platforms, translating our mission into strategic and tactical communications plans.
Oversee and/or develop brand visual identity
Manage creative/content development and editorial calendar across print, digital and new media communications channels
Lead an editorial committee focused on continuous improvement of internal and external communications
Develop and coach communications team for peak performance and to achieve their professional goals
Oversee tactical and strategic management of outside vendors/agencies
Lead the development and maintenance of stakeholder personas
Uncover creative ways to keep the Connie Maxwell brand fresh and in front of key stakeholder groups across the state
Proven experience in developing strategic communications to advance an organization's strategic mission and drive revenue growth, leveraging an analytical approach to demonstrate value of strategies
Proven success launching a brand or rebrand of an organization
Well versed in both new and transitional media
Bachelor's degree or higher degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related field
At least 8-10 years of experience at a senior level
At least 2 years of supervision experience
APR preferred but not required
