Members of BCA have submitted 296 entries in seven divisions for the 2009 Wilmer C. Field Awards Competition, according to Awards Chair Eddy Oliver.

Entries included 12 in the Public Relations and Development Division, 15 in the Interactive Communications Division, 43 in the Audiovisual Communications Division, 33 in the Photography Division, 61 in the News Writing Division, 44 in the Feature Writing Division, and 88 in the Design Division.

Letters to award winners will be mailed in March. "We enlisted some excellent judges, including several professionals from the communications field in the Atlanta area," Oliver commented.

Make plans now to attend the Annual Workshop in Nashville. The Awards Banquet will take place on Friday, April 17 and the cost is included in the registration fee.

This year's banquet will take place in the Mike Curb Education Hall of the new Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Built in 2006, the Schermerhorn is the home of the Nashville Symphony. This elegant evening will include dinner, the Awards Ceremony, and a dessert reception to honor the awards recipients.
