In recognizing the source of these moments, he felt a powerful responsibility to walk through them—often with fear and trembling. “But why should I have been so fearful? God has been a faithful guide my entire life. Why was I so afraid that He couldn’t handle my next step?” he asks. Looking back, he now thinks he knows. Thirty years ago, a “chance encounter" with a homeless man challenged his understanding of God’s mysterious guidance. |

Hear Kerry Myers discuss his unique perspective on journalism from a windowless room. |
